Hey all you skaters -

It's been a while since I've been able to organize a meetup but only because I have been extremely busy and certainly not because I haven't wanted to. I am thrilled to see so many members and continue to look forward to some great times and great skating.

For those of you who do not know what it is I do for a living, I am the Mad Scientist behind (and president/owner of) the company Abec 11 which provides superior aftermarket longboard products with brands like Retro, Pink, subLime, Reflex and Biltin to name a few.

If you are not familiar already with the industry leading online forum for longboard skateboarding, Silverfish, I encourage you all to go to www.silverfishlongboarding.com. We have a thread there that shares alot of what the company is up to by way of new products, etc. I have new wheels coming out along with new trucks and will be showcasing a few things at Surf Expo in Orlando, FL next week, not the least of which is a new jr girls clothing line. In addition, I will be racing in the downhill event at Maryhill in Washington State early next month where 2 of my companies will be title sponsors.

I share this with those of you who wonder what this "organizer" is doing!

I do, however, want to let you all know that the killer group of skaters we joined with the last meetup, The Sk8Kings, will be having their Jam Session on Sunday August 16th at Edison Community Center (ECC) at 1pm. While I cannot join the festivities this time around I wanted to let you all know of the opportunity to skate with some local skating royalty.
