The HB Longboard Skateboarder's FIRST Meetup
No location was chosen
This first meetup will be a "meet and greet" and fun roll. We'll do a little "show and tell" with the latest and greatest in longboard equipment in the parking lot just north of the HB pier. We'll then roll out and cruise up the bike path to the beginning of the Bolsa Chica State Beach parking lot. We'll hang there for a bit and skate back when we're ready.
There's an area of the bike path just north of the pier that curves right where the only condos on the beach side of PCH are. It's only a few hundred feet north from where 6th Street meets the bike path. There should be a big lime green stepvan with a racing stripe and the number 11 on it.
The best boards for the fun roll will be longboards with big soft wheels and loose trucks. There may be some electric skateboards and/or paddleskating boards at the Bolsa Chica parking lot location. Bring any safety equipment that you want. Skate safe, skate hard, skate long!

ChrisEvent HostOrganizerIt was great day at the beach for a skate. Lots of electric skateboards and longboards were used. We used the Banshee Bungee on the path for a 0-30mph slingshot down the path with minimal carnage. The skate to the cliffs was a ton of fun with a safe mix of electric boards, paddle skaters and pushers. There were camera crews and videos shot, and lots of crazy wheels, trucks, bearings, and decks on hand to try out. We got a lot of positive attention from all of the beach-goers and even met a meetup group that was there with there inline skates. -

FIRST Meetup was great! I had a blast. Chris Chaput, the Meetup group organizer, is full of energy and made everyone feel very welcomed, no matter what their skill level was!

Pamela ZThe vibe was great! Chris (the organizer) showed up with a big box van filled with toys (skateboards) for everyone. He was truly friendly and really took the time to get to know everyone! We had a great time taking and getting to know one another before we headed down the bike path along the beach and skated up the coast. We could not have asked for better weather. If you love the skateboarding and a great group of young at heart people you should really join in the fun.
