You know that June 21st is Fathers Day, but did you also know that worldwide it's Go Skateboarding Day? Either way it's a perfect day for everyone to get out and skate. By meeting with the Sk8Kings for their Allstar Freestyle Jam, this meetup is a "two for the price of one" deal, and both of them are FREE! We'll start by meeting up by the HB pier at 11:00am. We'll then roll out the group at 11:30am and head South down the bike path toward Magnolia Street and venture inland to Edison Community Park. At 12:00pm we'll have a little food and drink courtesy of Abec 11 and Skatera. At about 1:00pm the Sk8Kings Allstar Freestyle Jam will kick in, complete with some pumping and thumping skate tunes and skating like you've never seen before.

For those who want to start the day at the HB Pier, you'll find us in the parking lot below 6th Street and PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Others who like finding parking more easily should consider parking at the Edison Community Park, skating to meet us at the pier, and then skating BACK to their cars. You can also just go to Edison Community Park and start with the picnic and/or the Freestlye Jam.

Look for a Big Green Abec 11 Stepvan at both locations. Kids bring your dads and dads bring your kids! Of course moms, cousins, aunts, and uncles are welcome too. People of all ages are encouraged to come out and skate. Our last meetup group featured longboarders, paddle skaters, and electric skaters. This meetup will include world-class freestylers and slalom racers. This promises to be a great day for skaters and their families and friends. Come one, come all. Bring anyone and everyone. The bigger the better.
